Wish We Were Floyd is an explosive tribute to Pink Floyd’s music and their legacy. The band recreates the Pink Floyd live experience while maintaining reverent admiration for Floyd’s prolific career. The Pink Floyd catalog was a key part of the formative years of each of the band member’s lives, and they hold this music very close to their heart. This genuine appreciation comes across in their electric performance. Every note and word are delivered with respect, passion, and precision. Wish We Were Floyd shows bring energy, heart, and a high level of technical execution to the stage.
Rivertown Film welcomes Wish We Were Floyd, the authentic Pink Floyd tribute experience, to The Nyack Center on May 17. Their live performance includes one complete album side from The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, and Wish You Were Here, accompanied by a stunning light show that includes original visuals as well as visuals created for the live performance of these records by Pink Floyd.
Tickets: $40 in advance – $45 at the door if seats are still available. Doors open at 7:15pm – Show begins at 8:00pm. Advance sale ticket buyers must be seated by 7:50 or your seats will be sold to a wait list. Buy in advance and arrive no later than 7:50.
This performance will sell out. Unclaimed seats will be sold to a wait line at 7:50. Even if you have tickets, DO NOT ARRIVE LATER THAN 7:50 OR YOU MAY LOSE YOUR SEAT. This is live rock and roll, and it will be loud. Prepare accordingly.
Music has accompanied movies since before sound was attached to film, but in the ’60s and ’70s bands like Pink Floyd and experimental filmmakers inverted the traditional idea of the music score that accompanies a film by having live music performances be accompanied by projected images. Wish We Were Floyd pays homage to the masters of psychedelic rock and unites the art of music with the art of motion picture.
